Cable Connection
The cables are simply attached as shown here.
Measuring the offset
The foam inserts provide the electrical contact to the cylinder, but they also have a resistance
which must be measured and compensated for to determine the true bulk resistivity of the cylinder
under test.
The resistance of the foam inserts varies with the pressure applied.
The resistances of the top and bottom inserts can be measured as follows:
