What to do if the Procom Heater pilot light goes out when I release the knob?
    • Z
      Zachary RobinsonAug 20, 2025
If the ODS/pilot lights but the flame goes out when you release the control knob on your Procom Heater, ensure the control knob is fully pressed in. After the pilot lights, hold the knob for 30 seconds. Also, fully open the equipment shutoff valve and hand-tighten gas connections until snug, then tighten a quarter turn more. If these steps don't work, low gas pressure or a dirty pilot may be the cause. Contact your local gas company or clean the ODS/pilot, or replace the ODS/pilot assembly. If the issue persists, the thermocouple or control valve might need replacement.
