This appliance may be installed in an aftermarket, permanently located, manufactured
(mobile) home, where not prohibited by local codes. This appliance is only for use with
propane or natural gas. This appliance is equipped with a simple means to switch
between propane and natural gas. Field conversion by any other means including the
use of a kit is not permitted.
This is an unvented gas-red heater. It uses air (oxygen) from the room in which it is
installed. Provisions for adequate combustion and ventilation air must be provided.
Refer to Air For Combustion and Ventilation section on page 8 of this manual.
INSTALLER: Leave this manual with the appliance. CONSUMER: Retain this manual
for future reference.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU SMELL GAS
Do not try to light any appliance.
Do not touch any electrical switch; do not use any phone in your building.
Immediately call your gas supplier from a neighbors phone. Follow the gas
suppliers instructions.
If you cannot reach your gas supplier, call the re department.
– Installation and service must be performed by a qualied installer, service agency
or the gas supplier.

      If there's no spark at the ODS/pilot when you press the ignitor button, you can try the following: replace the electrode, replace the ignitor cable, free the ignitor cable if it is pinched by metal or tubing, keep the ignitor cable dry, or replace the piezo ignitor.

    Why does the pilot light go out when I release the control knob on my Procom MD2TPA?

      If the ODS/pilot lights but the flame goes out when the control knob is released, make sure to fully press in the control knob and keep it pressed for 30 seconds after the pilot lights. Also, ensure the equipment shutoff valve is fully open and hand tighten gas connections until snug, then tighten ¼ turn more. You may also need to replace the thermocouple.

      To address a whistling noise, turn the control knob to the low (1) position and let the heater warm up for a minute. Operate the burner until air is removed from the line.

      The heater might be burning vapors from paint, hair spray, glues, etc. Ventilate the room and stop using odor-causing products while the heater is running. Also, locate and correct any gas leaks and refill the supply tank if you are using Propane /LP models.

    What to do if there is a spark but no ignition on my Procom MD2TPA Gas Heater?

      If there is a spark at the ODS/pilot but no ignition, make sure the gas supply is turned on and the equipment shutoff valve is open. Fully press in the control knob while pressing the ignitor button, and continue holding it down to remove air. You can also try cleaning the ODS/pilot, replacing the gas regulator, or turning the control knob to the PILOT position.
