What to do if my ProForm Treadmill power turns off during use?
    • T
      tromeroJul 30, 2025
If your ProForm Treadmill's power turns off during use, first check the reset/off circuit breaker and reset it if tripped by waiting five minutes before pressing the switch back in. Also, ensure the power cord is securely plugged in; if it is, unplug it, wait five minutes, and plug it back in. Another solution is to remove and reinsert the key from the console. If the treadmill still won't run, please call toll-free 1-800-4-MY-HOME.

How to fix ProForm Treadmill when the power does not turn on?

      Frank DavisAug 3, 2025
If your ProForm Treadmill's power doesn't turn on, ensure the power cord is plugged into a surge suppressor that meets the specifications described on page 8 and that the suppressor is plugged into a properly grounded outlet. Note: this treadmill is not compatible with GFCI-equipped outlets. Also, make sure the key is inserted into the console. Finally, check the reset/off circuit breaker located near the power cord; if it protrudes, wait five minutes, then press the switch back in to reset it.

What to do if ProForm XP 550E 831.29605.2 Treadmill walking belt is off-center or slips?
    • J
      Jimmy BaileyAug 8, 2025
If the walking belt on your ProForm Treadmill is off-center, remove the key and unplug the power cord first. If the belt has shifted left, turn the left rear roller bolt clockwise 1/2 turn using the allen wrench. If it has shifted right, turn the bolt counterclockwise 1/2 turn. If the walking belt slips, remove the key and unplug the power cord. Then, turn both rear roller bolts clockwise 1/4 turn with the allen wrench. Properly tightened, you should be able to lift each side of the belt 2 to 3 inches off the platform.

Why does my ProForm XP 550E 831.29605.2 Treadmill walking belt slow down when I walk on it?
    • L
      Lisa VasquezAug 13, 2025
If the walking belt on your ProForm Treadmill slows when you walk on it, use a single-outlet surge suppressor that meets the specifications described on page 8. Also, if the walking belt is overtightened, it can decrease performance and damage the belt. To correct this, remove the key and unplug the power cord. Turn both rear roller bolts counterclockwise 1/4 turn using the allen wrench. When properly tightened, you should be able to lift each edge of the belt 2 to 3 inches off the platform. If the issue persists, please call toll-free 1-800-4-MY-HOME.

      mollywhiteAug 23, 2025
If the displays of your ProForm Treadmill console do not function properly, remove the key and unplug the power cord. With assistance, carefully raise the Uprights and pivot the Hood. Locate the Reed Switch and the Magnet on the left side of the Pulley. Turn the Pulley until the Magnet aligns with the Reed Switch, ensuring the switch is about 1/8" away. If needed, loosen and retighten the Screw. Reattach the Hood and run the treadmill briefly to check the speed reading.
