How to troubleshoot ProForm Treadmill power not turning on?
    • C
      Charles WeeksAug 5, 2025
To troubleshoot a ProForm Treadmill that won't power on, ensure the power cord is plugged into a surge suppressor (meeting specific requirements) and that the suppressor is in a grounded outlet. Note that the treadmill isn't compatible with GFCI outlets. Also, ensure the key is fully inserted into the console. Finally, check the reset/off circuit breaker on the treadmill frame near the power cord. If it protrudes, the breaker tripped; wait five minutes, then press it back in to reset.

      Nathan CarterOct 30, 2025
If your ProForm Treadmill's walking belt is off-center, first remove the key and unplug the power cord. If the belt has shifted left, turn the left rear roller bolt clockwise 1/2 turn with an allen wrench. If it has shifted right, turn the bolt counterclockwise 1/2 turn. Avoid overtightening. Plug in the power cord, insert the key, and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat this process until the belt is centered. If the walking belt slips when walked on, first remove the key and unplug the power cord. Using the allen wrench, turn both rear roller bolts clockwise, 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is correctly tightened, you should be able to lift each side of the walking belt 2 to 3 inches off the walking platform. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Michael OrozcoNov 23, 2025
If the walking belt slows down when you walk on your ProForm Treadmill, use a surge suppressor that meets the specifications. If the walking belt is overtightened, treadmill performance may decrease and the walking belt may become damaged. Remove the key and unplug the power cord. Using the allen wrench, turn both rear roller adjustment bolts counterclockwise, 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is properly tightened, you should be able to lift each side of the walking belt 2 to 3 inches off the walking platform. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Plug in the power cord, insert the key, and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened. If the walking belt still slows when walked on, please call toll-free 1-800-4-MY-HOME (1-800-469-466...
