ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
Important:
This cooker Hood has a Double Insulation for maximum safety and therefore it does not
require any Earth Connection
The manufacturers will not accept liability for any problems caused by the failure of the user or
installer to comply with these instructions or with current safety regulations in force.
We recommended that installation is carried out by a qualified electrician.
This appliance is intended to be permanently connected to the electrical supply through a double
pole switched fused spur fitted with a 3 amp fuse. The opening distance between the switch
contacts shall not be less than 3mm. The installation must conform to the requirements of BS7671.
But if for any reason a Plug should be fitted then a 13 amp Plug to BS 1362 ASTA Approved must
be fitted.
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code;
Blue – Neutral
Brown – Live
The wire which is coloured Blue must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter
N or coloured Blue
The wire which is coloured Brown must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured Brown
No wire must be connected to the terminal marked with an earth symbol or marked E.
Warning
Ensure that the appliance is isolated from the supply before carrying out the installation and before
cleaning.
The manufacturers refuse to accept any responsibility for damage to the hood or it
catching fire due to failure to observe the above instructions.
5. OPERATION
To open the Hood, push the two clips
outwards and the filter cover will drop down.
