Function Description

The ProtoArc EK01 Plus is an ergonomic keyboard offering dual-mode connectivity: 2.4G USB and Bluetooth. This allows it to connect to multiple devices and switch between them seamlessly. The keyboard features a split ergonomic design, aiming to reduce strain during prolonged use. It also includes a backlight for improved visibility in various lighting conditions.

Usage Features

Power and Indicators: The keyboard has a power switch (OFF/ON) and a power indicator that also serves as a charging indicator (low power/charging). A Caps Lock indicator is also present.

Connectivity Modes: The EK01 Plus supports three channels: one 2.4G USB channel and two Bluetooth channels (BT1 and BT2).

2.4G USB Connection:
1. Turn the power switch to ON.
2. Take out the USB receiver from its storage slot.
3. Plug the USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
4. Press the 2.4G channel key (indicated by a wireless icon) to switch to the 2.4G channel. The white indicator will flash slowly, confirming entry into 2.4G mode.
Bluetooth Connection:
1. Turn the power switch to ON.
2. Single press either the BT1 or BT2 channel button. The indicator light will flash once, entering the Bluetooth channel.
3. To enter Bluetooth pairing mode, long press the selected Bluetooth channel button (BT1 or BT2) for 3-5 seconds. The indicator light will flash quickly, signaling that the keyboard is ready for pairing.
4. On your device (computer, tablet, phone), go to Bluetooth settings, search for "ProtoArc EK01 Plus," and select it to complete the pairing process. The indicator light will stop flashing once connected.

Switching Device Channels: After successfully connecting to multiple devices (e.g., one via 2.4G, one via BT1, and another via BT2), you can switch between them by simply pressing the corresponding channel key (2.4G, BT1, or BT2). The keyboard will switch to the selected device.

Backlight Control: The keyboard features a backlight with adjustable brightness levels. A dedicated "Keyboard Backlight Switch Button" (indicated by a sun icon) controls this feature:

First press: Turns on the backlight at a very dim brightness.
Second press: Increases brightness to a medium level.
Third press: Sets the backlight to the highest brightness.
Fourth press: Turns off the backlight.

Multimedia Function Buttons: The keyboard includes a range of multimedia and function keys that behave differently depending on the operating system (Windows, Android, iOS, MAC OS). These functions are often dual-use keys (F1-F12) and can be accessed directly or by pressing the Fn key in combination with the desired function key.

Maintenance Features

Charging Guide:

Low Power Indication: When the battery is low, the backlight will automatically turn off first. Subsequently, the power indicator light will turn red and flash quickly.
Charging Process: Insert the Type-C port of the charging cable into the keyboard and the USB-A port into a computer or power adapter. The red light on the keyboard will stay on during charging.
Full Charge Indication: A full charge cycle takes approximately 2-3 hours. Once fully charged, the indicator light will turn green.

Sleep Mode:

Automatic Sleep: If the keyboard is idle for more than 60 minutes, it will automatically enter sleep mode, and the indicator light will turn off.
Waking Up: To wake up the keyboard from sleep mode, simply press any key. The keyboard will be ready for use within 3 seconds, and the indicator light will illuminate again.
Deep Sleep (Backlight): After 60 minutes of inactivity, the backlight automatically turns off, and the keyboard enters a deep sleep mode. Pressing any key will wake up the keyboard, but the backlight will need to be turned on again manually using the backlight switch button.

Troubleshooting Tips:

Bluetooth Connection Issues: If the Bluetooth connection is not working properly, try turning the keyboard off and on again to restart the device's Bluetooth and attempt to reconnect. Alternatively, delete any existing "ProtoArc EK01 Plus" entries from your device's Bluetooth connection list and re-pair.
Channel Switching: When switching to a successfully connected channel, press the channel button and wait for approximately 3 seconds for the connection to stabilize before continuing to use the keyboard.
Memory Function: The keyboard has a memory function for its connected channels. If you turn off the keyboard while it's connected to a specific channel and then turn it back on, it will automatically attempt to reconnect to that default channel, and its indicator will light up.
