Why is my Pulsafeeder Water Pump motor running hot?
    • P
      Paul CarrollAug 16, 2025
It's normal for motors to feel hot, even when not overloading, so first check the motor amp draw to be sure. If it is indeed overheating, consider the following: * The discharge pressure may be too high; lower the pressure and check the pressure relief valve setting and for defective discharge pressure gauge. * The liquid viscosity might be higher than expected; thin the liquid or install a larger motor. * The rotational speed could be too high; reduce the speed. * There might be binding internal pump parts; inspect and correct the condition. * The motor could be wired incorrectly; check the wiring diagram.

What to do if Pulsafeeder Isochem GMH8 has low liquid delivery?
    • D
      Dominic SmithAug 23, 2025
If your Pulsafeeder Water Pump has low liquid delivery, consider these potential causes: * The discharge pressure might be higher than expected; reduce the pressure. * There could be an air leak in the suction; locate and repair the leak. * The rotational speed might be incorrect; check the speed and wiring. * The inlet may be obstructed or clogged; remove the restriction. * The liquid viscosity might be higher than expected; thin the liquid or accept lower flow. * The relief valve could be leaky; correctly set or repair the relief valve. * There might be insufficient suction pressure; increase the suction pressure. * Internal parts may be worn or damaged; inspect and repair as required.

How to fix a noisy Pulsafeeder Isochem GMH8?
    • C
      Christopher ScottAug 29, 2025
A noisy Pulsafeeder Water Pump could be due to several reasons: * The pump may be cavitating; increase suction pressure to provide sufficient NPSH. * The pump might be worn or damaged; inspect and repair as required. * There could be air or gas in the liquid; eliminate the air or gas. * Foreign particles might be in the liquid; install (or clean) a strainer in the inlet pipe.

Why does my Pulsafeeder Water Pump gradually lose prime?
    • C
      Charles Hughes Jr.Sep 4, 2025
If your Pulsafeeder Water Pump gradually loses prime, it could be due to: * An air leak in the suction; locate and repair the leak. * The suction lift being too high; increase suction pressure. * Air or gas in the liquid; eliminate the air or gas. * The pump being worn or damaged; inspect and repair as required.

What to do if Pulsafeeder Water Pump delivers no liquid?
    • D
      Daniel FarrellNov 10, 2025
If your Pulsafeeder Water Pump isn't delivering liquid, several issues could be the cause: * The pump may not be primed, in which case you should prime it. * The suction and/or discharge valve might be closed; open the valves. * The pump rotation might be incorrect; reverse the rotation. * There could be a blockage in the suction; eliminate the plug. * An air leak might be present in the suction; locate and repair the leak. * The suction lift might be too high; ensure you do not exceed the vapor pressure of the liquid. * The motor might be incorrectly wired; check the wiring diagram. * The magnetic coupling may be decoupled; stop the motor, eliminate any discharge blockage or foreign matter jamming the gears, and restart. If no blockage exists, verify the motor supply volt...
