Installation Instructions (continued):
1. Attach the Saddle Drain Clamp to the vertical section of the drain pipe,
about 2 inches above the drain trap.
2. Using the fittings hole of the Saddle Drain Clamp as a guide, drill a 1/4”
hole through one side of the drainpipe.
CAUTION: Do not penetrate through the opposite side of the pipe.
3. Remove the Drain Clamp from the drainpipe and enlarge the hole with a
3/8” drill bit. Use a file to remove rough edges from the drilled hole.
4. Squarely cut the end of the 3/8" Black Tube. Insert the Tube through the
Saddle Drain Clamp quick-connect fitting about 1” past the inside wall of
the Saddle Drain Clamp.
5. Make sure the Black Rubber Gasket is adhered to the inside wall of the
Saddle Drain Clamp and place the Saddle Drain Clamp assembly over the
drainpipe. Insert 3/8” black tube into the drilled hole. Tighten the Clamp.
1. Remove the tube connection from the RO membrane cap.
2. Loosen the cap by using the wrench provided in a counter-clockwise
direction.
3. Lubricate the O-rings on the new membrane with water. Insert the end with
the two black O-rings first onto the standpipe within the filter housing.
4. Once the membrane has been inserted into the housing give a firm push to
properly seat the membrane.
5. Check to see that the O-ring is in the cap properly seated. Replace the
membrane housing cap and using the supplied wrench tighten in a
clockwise direction.
Installing the Saddle Drain Clamp (See Figure 7 and 8):
Installing the Membrane into the Membrane Housing (See Figure 9):
CAUTION: Do not overtighten the screws, it may crack the Clamp.
CAUTION: The 3/8” Black Drain Tube must be as SHORT and
STRAIGHT as possible to the Saddle Drain Clamp, making a
downward slope from the faucet to the Saddle Drain Clamp to
allow for proper drainage. This is a gravity fed line and if there is
any bend or dip in the Tubing, the rinse water will not flow into the
drain properly. Water may back up and come out the Air Gap Hole
in the Faucet.
