Overview

The PureLink HEXA Pro is an advanced HDMI 2.0 Audio Extractor with Down-mixing capabilities, designed to enhance your audio-visual experience by providing flexible audio signal management. This device is engineered to extract audio signals from any HDMI compliant source and output them to digital optical (SPDIF) or analog stereo L/R audio outputs. Its primary function is to offer a comprehensive solution for integrating high-quality audio into various setups, especially when dealing with modern video resolutions and audio formats.

One of the key usage features of the HEXA Pro is its ability to support bitstream audio down-mix to analog stereo output. This is particularly useful for systems that require stereo audio from multi-channel sources, ensuring compatibility with a wider range of audio receivers and speakers. Simultaneously, it maintains optical and HDMI out audio pass-through, meaning that the original audio signal can still be sent to other devices without interruption or degradation. This dual functionality allows for simultaneous connection to both advanced audio systems and simpler stereo setups.

The device is highly versatile in terms of video and audio format support. It handles video resolutions up to 4K2K@50/60Hz 4:4:4, including 10-bit HDR (High Dynamic Range) pass-through, ensuring that your high-resolution video content is displayed without compromise. For audio, the HEXA Pro bypasses high-resolution digital audio formats such as LPCM 2CH, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Atmos, and DTS-HD Master Audio. The optical audio output specifically supports LPCM 2CH, Dolby Digital 2/5.1CH, and DTS 2/5.1CH, catering to various digital audio receiver capabilities. It also supports audio sampling rates up to 192 kHz, guaranteeing high-fidelity sound. Furthermore, the HEXA Pro is compliant with HDCP 2.2 and DVI, and supports CEC pass-through, simplifying control and integration within your existing home theater system.

The front panel of the HEXA Pro features several indicators and controls for easy operation. A DC 5V input is provided for power, connecting to a 5V/1A adapter. A Power LED indicates the system's power status. The TV/Bitstream/2CH button allows users to select the desired audio format: "TV" copies EDID from the television, "Bitstream" supports multi-channel audio up to six channels, and "2CH" selects 2-channel Stereo PCM. An HDMI IN port serves as the HDMI video input, and a Link LED illuminates when an input signal is detected, providing visual confirmation of connectivity.

On the rear panel, the device offers an HDMI OUT port for display connectivity, an OPTICAL OUT (Toslink) for digital audio output that mirrors the HDMI audio, and L/R OUT (Stereo RCA) for analog audio output. These outputs provide comprehensive options for connecting to various audio and video equipment, from soundbars and AV receivers to stereo amplifiers.

For maintenance and optimal performance, several safety precautions and recommended installation settings are outlined. All safety instructions should be read and understood before operating the unit, and the owner's manual should be retained for future reference. It is crucial to unplug the unit from the wall outlet before cleaning and to use only a damp cloth, avoiding liquid or aerosol cleaners. The device should be kept away from wet, magnetic, and flammable surfaces or substances. Always use the correct external power supply as indicated on the product label. If the unit is equipped with a 3-wire grounding-type plug, ensure it fits into a grounding type power outlet; if not, consult an electrician. Air vents must be kept clean and unobstructed to prevent overheating. Users should refrain from using frayed power cords and damaged wall outlets and avoid placing heavy objects or equipment on top of the unit. To prevent electrical damage, always turn off the power to the unit before inserting or removing input/output slot cards.

Recommended installation settings for optimal performance include maintaining an operational temperature of 30°C or below, operational humidity of 60% or below, and ensuring the operational environment is dust-free and well-ventilated. Using a stabilized AC input power (AVR-based power supply) is highly advised to protect the device from power fluctuations.

In case of product malfunction or for assistance with operation, technical support is available. The manufacturer provides a 3-year warranty, ensuring that the HEXA Pro is free from defects in workmanship and materials under normal use and service. If the product does not operate as warranted, PureLink will, at its option and expense, repair or replace the defective product or part, or refund the purchase price. All replaced products become the property of PureLink, and replacement products come with a 90-day warranty or the remainder of the original warranty period. PureLink is not responsible for any software, firmware, information, or memory data loss. Customer service inquiries can be submitted electronically or by contacting the provided phone number for immediate assistance.
