Turning On and Shutting Down the DXi4700
To turn on or shut down the DXi4700, refer to the following sections:
l Turning On the DXi4700 below
l Turning Off the DXi4700 on the next page
Turning On the DXi4700
To turn on the system, power on the DXi4700 system components in the following order:
1. Turn on both power switches on the back of each Expansion module (JBOD) (see Figure 30 below).
Wait 30 seconds for the Expansion modules to initialize.

2. Press the power button on the front of the Node (see Figure 31 below). Wait for the system to boot
before attempting to log on. (This can take up to 30 minutes.)

The system is now ready for operation.
