18. Review the settings you selected to make sure they are correct. If necessary, click Previous to return to
a previous step to make changes
19. After you have confirmed all settings, click Finish.
A message appears stating that completing the setup will restart the system.
20. Click Yes to restart the system.
21. Disconnect the computer from the DXi6900 service port. Reset the computer network settings back to
the default values.
22. Wait for the system to fully restart. This can take up to 30 minutes.
Continue with the next section to upload the new DXi software.
Uploading New DXi Software
Before configuring and using the DXi, you must upgrade to the latest available software version.
To complete the software upgrade:
1. On the service laptop, open a supported Web browser, type 10.17.21.1 in the Address box, and press
<Enter>.
The Login window displays (see Figure 57 below).
Additional Information
l For Web browsers, the DXi6900 supports Firefox 17 or higher, Chrome 21 or higher, or Internet
Explorer 9, 10, or 11.
l If the Login window does not display, verify that you entered the correct IP address (10.17.21.1).
Also make sure that the service laptop is connected to the service port on the Node, and that the
network settings on the laptop are correct (see Accessing the Service Menu on page 48). If the
GUI is in Limited Mode, wait ten minutes, then try again.

2. On the Login window, select Administrator, type the password you created in the Getting Started
Wizard, and click Login.
The Upload New DXI Software Upgrade File page displays (see Figure 58 on the next page).
