2. Prepare the threaded fitting on the male NPT end of each Short Hydraulic Hose with Thread
Sealant.
3. Attach a Male Quick-Connect Fitting to the male threaded end of the Short Hydraulic Hose; make
2-3 full turns using a wrench to securely tighten in place.
⚠ CAUTION Allow 24-hours for the thread sealant to cure before applying
pressure to hydraulic components
.
Assemble the Long Hydraulic Hoses
To assemble the Long Hydraulic Hoses, you will need from Box 3:
• Two Long Hydraulic Hoses (5570216).
• Four Female Quick-Connect Fittings (5550031).
The following graphic shows the connections to make to the Long Hydraulic Hoses.
To assemble the Long Hydraulic Hoses:
1. Locate both Long Hydraulic Hoses and remove their protective caps.
2. Prepare the Threaded ends with the supplied Thread Sealant.
3. Connect the Female Quick-Connect Fittings to the male threaded connectors on both ends of both
Long Hydraulic Hoses.
To tighten, use one wrench to hold the Male connector in place and a second wrench on the
Female Quick-Connect Fitting to tighten it; make 2-3 full turns using a wrench to securely tighten in
place.
⚠ CAUTION Before proceeding, allow 24-hours for the thread sealant to cure
before applying pressure to hydraulic components
.
