WARNING: Make certain power is OFF before installing or maintaining  xture. No user-serviceable parts inside.
NOTE: No user maintenance or cleaning required.
Universal voltage driver permits operation at 120V through 277V, 50 or 60 Hz. Units ordered with /480 su x are 480V only,
50Hz or 60Hz.
Suitable for wet locations. Suitable for mounting within 4ft of the ground.


CAUTION: UL certi ed liquid-tight cord grip suitable for use
with  ve-conductor-type STW  exible cord shall be used for
connection to a wet location outlet box provided by others.


CAUTION: Do not mount the Slip tter to a Tennon or Bracket
that is more than 20 degrees from vertical. Mounting any angle
other than 0-20 degrees increases the risk of disengagement
and/or failure of the slip tter.

Mounting Procedures

Slipfitter Mounting

Mount to a 2 3/8" O.D. Tenon. Secure with set screws. Loosen locking bolt to swivel fixture to desired angle.

Trunnion Mounting

Use UL certified liquid-tight cord grip. Loosen pivot bolts and angle locking screw to adjust fixture angle.

Field Adjustments and Wiring

Field Adjustment Settings

Adjust Photocell operation, Color Temperature (CCT), and Power (%) using selector switches on the housing.

0-10 V Dimmable Wiring

Connect fixture leads (black, white, ground, purple, pink) to corresponding supply and dimming control leads.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

Cleaning and Maintenance

Clean lens with non-abrasive solution. Do not open fixture or touch LED. Ensure fixture is cool before cleaning.

Troubleshooting Steps

Check line voltage, grounding, and photocell function. Refer to wiring directions for correct installation.

The RAB FIELD-ADJUSTABLE X34® is a high-quality, affordable, well-designed, and energy-efficient LED lighting fixture designed for ease of installation and energy saving. It is suitable for wet locations and can be mounted within 4ft of the ground.

Function Description

The X34 fixture is an LED lighting solution that offers field-adjustable settings for photocell operation, color temperature (CCT), and power output. It is available in two main configurations: a 250W model and a 350/450W model, both supporting slipfitter and trunnion mounting options. The fixture is designed for universal voltage operation, accommodating 120V through 277V at 50 or 60 Hz. Units with the /480 suffix are specifically designed for 480V operation at 50Hz or 60Hz.

Important Technical Specifications

• Power Output: Field-adjustable to 50%, 75%, or 100% power output selection. Factory setting is 100% Power.
• Color Temperature (CCT): Field-adjustable to 5000K, 4000K, or 3000K CCT. For maximum light output, 4000K CCT is recommended. Factory setting is 4000K CCT.
• Photocell: Equipped with a photocell for automatic light control. Factory setting is "OFF." To enable, slide the center switch to the "ON" position. If set to "ON" and it is daylight, it may take up to 60 seconds for the light to turn off.
• Voltage: Universal voltage driver supports 120V through 277V, 50 or 60 Hz. /480V suffix units are 480V only, 50Hz or 60Hz.
• Dimming: Supports 0-10V dimming. For external dimming control, the power switch should be set to 100% and the photocell switch turned off.
  • 0-10V Dimming Wiring:
    • Black fixture lead connects to LINE supply lead.
    • White fixture lead connects to COMMON supply lead.
    • GROUND wire from fixture connects to supply ground. Do NOT connect the GROUND of the dimming fixture to the output.
    • Purple fixture lead connects to DIM V+ lead.
    • Pink fixture lead connects to DIM V- lead.
    • Yellow fixture lead (if present) should be capped and NOT connected.
• Mounting:
  • Slipfitter: Fits a 2 3/8" O.D. Tenon. Secured with two Set Screws. Angle adjustment via a Locking Bolt.
    • Caution: Do not mount the Slipfitter to a Tenon or Bracket that is more than 20 degrees from vertical. Mounting at angles other than 0-20 degrees increases the risk of disengagement and/or failure.
  • Trunnion: Angle adjustment via Pivot Bolts and an angle locking screw.
    • Caution: UL certified liquid-tight cord grip suitable for use with five-conductor-type STW flexible cord must be used for connection to a wet location outlet box provided by others.

Maintenance Features

• Cleaning:
  • Caution: Ensure fixture temperature is cool enough to touch before cleaning. Do not clean or maintain while the fixture is energized.
  • Clean the glass lens with a non-abrasive glass cleaning solution.
  • Do not open the fixture to clean the LED. Do not touch the LED.
• Troubleshooting:
  • Check that the line voltage at the fixture is correct.
  • Verify that the fixture is properly grounded.
  • If used, confirm that the photocell is functioning correctly.

Important Notes:

• Always ensure power is OFF before installing or maintaining the fixture.
• Installation must be performed by a person familiar with the construction and operation of the product and the hazards involved, in accordance with the National Electrical Code and all applicable local codes.
• Proper grounding is required for safety.
