How to fix RainSoft Water Dispenser hard water bleed-through?
    • F
      ffrancisSep 2, 2025
Hard water bleed-through in your RainSoft water dispenser can occur if the system isn't regenerating often enough due to incorrect hardness or capacity settings. Test the raw water and reset the system if needed. Other potential causes include a check ball behind the injector not seating (replace the check ball seat assembly), the system being out of salt (add salt to the brine tank), loss of power (check the power connection), an open or partially open bypass valve (close it completely), improper plumbing (replumb the system), salt bridged in the brine tank (pour hot water along the sides of the brine tank and use a tool to break the bridge), the system not drawing brine (see Symptom 6), worn internal seals (see Symptom 6) or failed bypass seals (replace the bypass seals).

How to troubleshoot loss of water pressure in my RainSoft Water Dispenser?
    • C
      Carlos JohnsonAug 31, 2025
If you're experiencing a loss of water pressure with your RainSoft Water Dispenser, it could be due to low pressure to the unit. Bypass the system to check. If the problem persists after bypassing, it is not related to the RainSoft product, and you should check your water distribution system. If the problem is resolved after bypass, call your RainSoft Dealer for service.

What to do if there's excessive water or salty water from my RainSoft EC5 Water Dispenser?
    • M
      michaelsandersAug 29, 2025
If you notice excessive water in the brine tank or salty water with your RainSoft Water Dispenser, the drain line might be plugged or restricted. Check the water flow to the drain and inspect for any crimps in the drain line; contact your RainSoft Dealer for service. Another potential cause is a dirty brine valve or a plugged injector, both of which require service from your RainSoft Dealer. Additionally, low inlet pressure could be the issue, so call your RainSoft Dealer for assistance.

Why is my RainSoft EC5 Water Dispenser system failing to use salt?
    • L
      Larry LangAug 28, 2025
If your RainSoft Water Dispenser system fails to use salt, several issues could be the cause. The drain line might be plugged or restricted, so check the water flow to the drain and inspect for crimps in the drain line; you may need to contact your RainSoft Dealer for service. Alternatively, the injector could be plugged, requiring service from your RainSoft Dealer. Also, low inlet pressure could be the culprit; call your RainSoft Dealer to increase the inlet pressure to a minimum of 20 psi. Finally, there might be no water in the brine tank, which also necessitates calling your RainSoft Dealer for service.

What causes a RainSoft EC5 Water Dispenser to have constant flow to the drain?
    • M
      Michael ClarkAug 26, 2025
If you notice a constant flow to the drain in your RainSoft Water Dispenser, it could be due to foreign material in the valve, in which case you should contact your RainSoft Dealer to clean the valve. Another possible cause is excessive water pressure; consider installing a pressure regulator.

How to fix a RainSoft Water Dispenser that fails to regenerate automatically?
    • V
      Victoria SanfordAug 25, 2025
If your RainSoft Water Dispenser system fails to regenerate automatically, there are a couple of things to check. Ensure that the power supply is connected to a constant power source. If the system is still not regenerating, it might not be counting gallons, and you should call your RainSoft Dealer for service.

Why does my RainSoft Water Dispenser regenerate at the wrong time?
    • R
      Robin PowellAug 22, 2025
If your RainSoft Water Dispenser regenerates at the wrong time, it could be due to several reasons. First, the computer might not be set correctly; try resetting the time of day/hour of regeneration. Also, verify that auto daylight savings time is set to 'ON', as the time may be off. Finally, the maximum system capacity might have been exceeded; limit water usage until the regeneration is complete.
