Jumping, riding on ramps or in extremely demanding terrain can damage the bicycle or cause
serious injury.
If you need to replace any bicycle part, use only compatible components and
follow the manufacturer's recommendations. If you are not experienced in
bicycle service or do not have the required tools, refer to your bicycle dealer.
Any unprofessional technical adjustment or part replacement done on the
bicycle can result in serious or fatal injuries.
Check before Every Ride:
- appropriate tyre pressure
- functionality of the front and rear brake
- appropriate saddle height
- the peddles are well-tightened
- no bolts are loose (especially wheels and handlebars)
Basic Maintenance and Use
Remember that proper and regular maintenance is essential to keep the bicycle in good
condition.
1. Cleaning
Cleaning your bike regularly helps to detect any defects, worn/loose parts, or damage. We
highly recommend using a bicycle cleaner with a sponge and soft brush to clean your bicycle.
Do not use a high-pressure washer as it could damage the bearings.

lubricating the moving parts. Do not lubricate the brake jaws, brake levers or cable housing. The
hubs on RASCAL bicycles do not require maintenance as they come with sealed bearings. To
check the bearings are not worn spin the wheel freely in the air to see if the bearings are not
worn out.
If your bicycle has a full suspension fork, keep the inner legs always clean. We also recommend
spraying them with a silicone spray for suspension forks. Depending on the riding style and
