Only proceed if the scooter is on a flat, secure
ground surface and
the freewheel lever engaged
to ‘Drive’ Position (Fig 18).
Note: Lever lowest position to engage ‘Drive’
• Scooter to be in the ‘Horizontal Fold Position’
(Fig.
19) and NOT the ‘Vertical Storage Position

Loosen tiller-height adjustment knob, and
check the tiller is to minimum limit, then secure
knob (Fig.21).

Before proceeding with folding or un
-folding the scooter, check the following:
• That you are able and sufficiently capable to carry out the methods described below.
• That there is adequate clearance from adjacent objects to fold the Smilie Scooter of
approximately 1.0 m (36”).
