Multiplebrightnessgroupscanbecongured.Thiscanreect
thephysicallocationoftheunitsonyourvesselifrequired.For
example,theunitsatyourhelmcanbesettoonegroup,and
theunitsontheybridgecanbesettoadifferentgroup.Inthis
example,anybrightnessadjustmentsmadetoaunitatthehelm
wouldbeautomaticallyreectedintheotherunitsatthehelm
butnotontheybridge.
Thesharedbrightnessfunctionrequiresthefollowing:
•Allunitsmustbecompatiblewiththesharedbrightness
function(seelistofcompatibleunitsabove).
•Beforeaunitcanrespondtoasharedbrightnessadjustmentit
mustbeassignedtotherelevantBrightnessGroup.
•Asingleunitcanonlybelongtoonebrightnessgroupatany
onetime.
•TheSharebrightnesssettingmustbesettoOnforallunits
inthebrightnessgroup.
•WhensettingupabrightnessgroupaninitialSyncbrightness
operationmustbeperformed,withallthedisplaysinthat
grouppoweredon,tocongurethedisplaybrightnessofall
unitsinthegroup.
Settingupsharedbrightness
Withthehomescreendisplayed:
1.SelectCustomize.
2.SelectDisplayPreferences.
3.SelectSharedBrightness.
4.SelecttheOnoptionfortheSharedbrightnessmenuitem.
5.SelectBrightnessGroup.
6.Selectanappropriatebrightnessgroup.
7.Repeattheprocessfortheotherdisplaysyouwantinthe
brightnessgroup.Ifthedisplayisnotamultifunctiondisplay,
refertothedocumentationthataccompaniestheunitfor
instructionsonsetting-upsharedbrightness.
8.Onceallrequireddisplayshavebeenaddedtothe
samebrightnessgroup,selectSyncBrightnessonthe
multifunctiondisplay.
Asharedbrightnessmessageisdisplayed.
9.Ensurealldisplaysinthebrightnessgrouparepoweredon.
10.SelectSync.
Whencompletedamessageisdisplayedconrmingthat
sharedbrightnesshasbeencongured.
Oncesharedbrightnesshasbeensuccessfullycongured,
changingthebrightnessofanydisplayinthatbrightnessgroup
willautomaticallychangethebrightnessofalldisplaysinthat
group.
