Checkthe brakesfor properfunction.Whenyousqueezethe lever,
the brakeshouldprovidepositivebrakingaction.Whenyouapply
the brakewith thespeedcontrolon,the brakecut-offswitch
shouldstopthe motor.Makesurethat brakesarenot rubbing.
Frame, Fork and Hand|ebars
Checkfor cracksor brokenconnections.Althoughbrokenframes
are rare,it ispossiblefor anaggressiveriderto run intoa curb
orwall andwreckandbendor breakaframe. Getin thehabit of
inspectingyour scooteronaregularbasis.
Safety Gear
Alwayswearproperprotectivegearsuchas anapprovedsafety
helmet.ElbowpadsandI<neepadsare recommended.Always
wearathletic shoes(lace-upshoeswith rubbersoles),neverride
barefootedor in sandals,andkeepshoelacestiedandout ofthe
way of thewheels,motoranddrivesystem.
Battery
Makesurethe powerswitchisturnedoffwheneverthe scooteris
not in use.Neverstorethe productin freezingorbelowfreezing
temperatures!Freezingwill permanentlydamagethebattery.
[_ TiresPeriodicallyinspectthetires for excesswearand regularlycheck
thefront andreartire pressureandre-inflateas necessary.
Turn power switch "OFF" before conducting any maintenance procedures.
3 Adjusting the Brakes
Tools required: 10mm open wrench

1 Toadjustthe brakecable
tension,threadthe brakelever
adjusterin orout1/4to 1/2
turnuntilthedesiredbrake
adjustmentis attained.Most
adjustmentsarecompleteat
this step.If brakestill needs
furtheradjustment,proceedto
step2.
2 Ifthe brakeistootight ortoo
loose,usea 10mmopenwrench
to loosenthe nutfor additional
adjustmentonthebrakecable.
Securelytightenthe nut when
finished.
