3 Performance Test
This chapter is intended to introduce how to set up hardware environment for
RTL8773B Motherboard performance test. The following topics will be discussed:
 Power consumption test
 RF performance test
3.1 Power Consumption Test
Users can perform power consumption test on RTL8773B Motherboard. Users are
required to comply with the steps and requirements introduced by this document.
3.1.1 Test Device
- This demonstration requires DC source and high-performance current meter.
Apply Agilent 34410A and 66319D as multimeter and power supply separately.
Agilent 34410A: A multimeter providing 6

-digit, high performance dc and ac
measurement, used for low power state measurement.
Agilent 66319D: A power supply providing the DC sourcing, current sinking, and
measurement capabilities. 66319D can be coupled with 14565B Software to obtain
average current of dynamic states.

3.1.2 Power Path Connection
- DC source and current meter should connect with jumpers reserved on
Motherboard.
