that increases the uid being sent from the helm pump to the steer-
ing cylinder which results in much easier steering at the wheel for
the operator even with larger loads. A compensating line connects
the power assist unit to the helm pump, allowing the power assist
unit to share uid with the helm reservoir.
Should the power assist unit fail or lose power, the hydraulic system
will automatically revert to a manual hydraulic system.
ere is a hydraulic steering plug integrated into the dash that
must be removed before lling the system with uid. Refer to the
steering manufacturer’s information in the owner’s information
packet for lling instructions or contact a Regal dealer to schedule
maintenance. Filling hardware (plastic bottle, hose and hardware)
is needed for lling and bleeding the system. Use only hydraulic
uid type as recommended by SeaStar.

THE FLUID LEVEL MUST BE CHECKED AND MAINTAINED BEFORE
EACH USE TO ENSURE SAFE STEERING OPERATION.
INSPECT ENTIRE STEERING SYSTEM AT LEAST TWO 2 TIMES
PER YEAR.
