Your Regal Boat engine might be overheating due to several reasons: blocked water pick-up feeds, missing cooling system drain plugs, cooling system leaks, a damaged or blocked impeller, an over-propped propeller, debris in the oil, a faulty thermostat or gauge, or corrosion in the raw water cooling system. Check the water pick-up feeds, ensure the cooling system drain plugs are installed, inspect for leaks, replace or clear the impeller, adjust the propeller size, replace the oil filter, test/replace the thermostat/gauge, and inspect/service the raw water cooling system.
