Remote Control
OTE: N Volvo EVC and Merc DTS propulsion units do not
use an actual control cable in the system. Shifting
is accomplished through electronic software. See
appropriate engine operation manual for further
information.
Seating
Inspect all fasteners and metal for fatigue. Lubricate the slider track
of the helm seat with a good quality silicone lube. Check all fasteners
periodically for tightness and the effects of corrosion especially in
moist environments.
It is a good practice to use a small amount of silicone lube on all hinges
to keep them freed up for proper operation.
