9. Control Methods
The RT 45 microprocessor uses the following processing programs (control algorithms):
Cascade control: The control system switches automatically to cascade control when the tempera-
ture probe Sn2 is installed in the consumer. This type of control system is very accurate, fast, and
stable.
Otherwise, the system switches to the aligned parameter set 1–10 (Section 7.1 “PAr”). In this case,
the control system works with sensor Sn1 (fluid temperature). If an external sensor (in the consumer)
is used to control temperature in the inlet while using the parameter set option, the sensor must be
connected at terminal Sn3.
10. Operation with Interface (optional feature)
When the “unit-processor” line is connected, the unit is controlled by the processor.
When this line is not connected, the control system works autonomously.

11.2 Changing the Control Insert
When changing the control insert all programmed values remain, with the exception of operator ad-

Attention: The control insert should be changed only with the main switch off.
