LEVELS (continued)
Power-assisted steering pump
Checking intervals:
Refer to your vehicle's Warranty and
Servicing booklet.
Level:
The correct level when cold should
be visible between the Min and Max
levels marked on the reservoir 1.
For topping up or refilling with oil,
use products approved by Renault's
Technical Department.
Battery 2
The battery does not require any
maintenance.
Note: using electrical consumers for
long periods with the engine
switched off leads to excessive
discharge of the battery, which can
prevent the engine from starting.
Take care when moving the
battery since it contains
sulphuric acid which must
not come into contact with
the eyes or skin. If it should, wash
the affected area with plenty of
cold water.
Keep all flames, red-hot objects and
sparks away from the battery as
there is a risk of explosion.
