PARKING ASSISTANCE
Operating principle
Ultrasound detectors located in the
rear bumper “measure” the distance
between the vehicle and an obstacle
when the vehicle is reversing.
This measurement is indicated by
beeps which become more frequent
the closer you come to the obstacle,
until they become a continuous
beep when the vehicle is
approximately 25 centimetres from
the obstacle.
Note: Make sure that the ultrasonic
detectors do not become covered
(dirt, mud, snow, various kinds of
bicycle holder -type accessories,
etc.).
Towing a trailer or caravan: The
detection system is automatically
disabled as soon as the towing hitch
is connected.
Faults
When the system detects a fault, a
beep sounds for 5 seconds as a
warning when reverse gear is
selected.

This function is an
additional aid which
indicates the distance
between the vehicle and an
obstacle when the vehicle is
reversing by means of sound
signals.
It can, therefore, under no
circumstances replace vigilance
and responsibility on the part of
the driver when reversing.
The driver should always pay
attention to sudden occurrences
during driving: always ensure that
there are no moving obstacles (such
asachild,animal,pramor
bicycle...) or small, narrow objects
such as stones or posts in your path
when manoeuvring.
