R:Reverse
N: Neutral
D:Automatic mode
M: Manual mode
1-2-3-4-5: gear selected in manual
mode display.
Driving
With the gear lever in position P or
N, switch on the ignition.
Move the lever from position P with
your foot on the brake pedal.
The lever must only be engaged in
D or R when the vehicle is
stationary. With the brake pedal
depressed and accelerator pedal
released.
For safety reasons, you must apply
the brake before pressing unlock
button 2 to move out of position P.
Driving in automatic mode
Select position D.
In the majority of traffic situations,
you will not have to touch the gear
lever again; the gear will change
automatically at the right time and
at the most suitable engine speed,
because the system takes into
account the vehicle load and road
contours and the particular driving
style you have chosen.
