Î Enable the heat quantity measurement option in the channel OHQM.
Î Select the type of ow rate detection in the channel FTYPE.
Flow rate detection type:
1 : Fixed ow rate value (owmeter)
2 : V40
3 : Grundfos Direct Sensor

Note:
If the ow rate detection type V40, Grundfos Direct Sensor

or Flowrotor
has been adjusted, the measuring range or the impulse rate respectively of
the sensor must be adjusted in the SENS menu (see page 66).
Note:
If a V40, a Grundfos Direct Sensor
TM
, or a Flowrotor is used as the ow rate
sensor (ow rate detection type 2, 3, or 4) and is then deactivated in the
SENS menu, the ow rate detection type will be set to 1 (owmeter) and
heat quantity measurement will be deactivated.

The heat quantity measurement calculation (estimation) uses the difference between
the ow and return temperatures and the entered ow rate (at 100 % pump speed).
Î Adjust 1 in the channel FTYPE.
Î Read the ow rate (l/min) and adjust it in the FMAX channel.
Î Adjust the antifreeze type and concentration of the heat transfer uid in the
channels MEDT and MED%.
Note:
Heat quantity measurement is not possible in systems with 2 solar pumps.

0 : Water
1 : Propylene glycol
2 : Ethylene glycol
3 : Tyfocor

perature and the ow rate transmitted by the VFS sensor.
Î Adjust 3 in the channel FTYPE.
Î Adjust the antifreeze type and concentration of the heat transfer uid in the
channels MEDT and MED%.
Heat quantity measurement with Flowrotor:
The heat quantity measurement uses the difference between the ow and return
temperatures and the ow rate transmitted by the Flowrotor.
Î Adjust 4 in the channel FTYPE.
Î Adjust the antifreeze type and concentration of the heat transfer uid in the
channels MEDT and MED%.
HQM sensors
The ow sensor as well as the return sensor can be selected for heat quatity
measurement.
Î In the channel SFHQM select the ow sensor.
Î In the channel SRHQM select the return sensor.
