Why is my ReSound RT977-DWC Hearing Aid whistling?

If your ReSound Hearing Aid is producing a whistling sound, also known as feedback, try the following: * Ensure your earmould or dome is correctly inserted. If not, re-insert it. * If the volume is too loud, reduce it. * Make sure you are not holding any object close to the hearing aid. Move your hand away to create more space between the hearing aid and the object. * Consult your hearing care professional or physician to check for earwax, as some people experience more wax after being fitted with hearing aids. * Ensure the hearing aid is turned on. * Check if the hearing aid is in telecoil mode and switch to the microphone program.
