Permits repetitive playback of the
current selection, provided it is
separated by a pause of at least 4
sec.
Display field for output level, tape
timer and various other functions (-
->1.3).
This LED is light in REC and REC/
PAUSE mode.
Selection of the number for the
selection search. (--> 1.5.3)
Record key; switches the equip-
ment to REC/PAUSE mode. To
start the recording press the
PAUSE or PLAY key.
Pause key; active in record and
reproduce mode.
Activates the playback or record-
ing.
This LED is light in REC/PAUSE
mode.
Cancels all cassette deck func-
tions.
This LED is light when a cassette
is located in the compartment.
Fast forward wind of the cassette.
Fast rewind of the cassette.
Record level potentiometer.
Causes all selections to be con-
secutively played for approx. 10
seconds. To switch to normal play

the tape is still running in AMS

Fine-adjustment for matching the
record level to the recorded
program source (--> 1.5.6).
Fine-adjustment for matching the
bias current to the type of cassette
being used. (--> 1.5.6)
Changeover in REC mode be-
tween TAPE and SOURCE. The
selected mode is shown on the
display. In the SOURCE setting
the signal from the audio source is
heard, whereas in the TAPE
setting the just recorded signal is
heard. In play mode TAPE is
always active.
Activates the multiplex filter. This
filter should be switched on when
FM programs are recorded with
DOLBY NR on, and if the pilot tone
suppression of the tuner is inad-
equate.
Headphones volume control.
Changeover between Dolby B and
C noise reduction*. For new
recording the Dolby C setting
should be selected because a
better signal-to-noise ratio is
achieved than with Dolby B mode.
Dolby B should be used for playing
back tapes that have been re-
corded with Dolby B, or for ap-
pending recordings to Dolby B
tapes.
Headphones jack, diam. 6.8 mm
Activates the Dolby noise reduc-
tion system * (-->1.5.5).
