Laser Unit
! Review the following in the service manual:
" Caution Decal Location
» Warning: Be sure to turn off main power switch and disconnect power
plug from power outlet before beginning any disassembly or
adjustment of laser unit.
– The laser can cause serious eye injury.
" Polygon Mirror Motor
» Warning: Turn off main switch and unplug machine before attempting
any service procedures of this part. Laser beams can seriously
damage eyes.
" Laser Unit
» See service manual for photos and details.
" When reinstalling the laser unit
" Laser Diode Unit
" When installing the LD Unit:
" Laser Beam Pitch Adjustment
» Print out following test patterns (A4 LEF or A3):
– Select test pattern "10.Stitch" with SP 5902-3.
– After selecting a pattern, use SP 5902-1 to print.
– After completing adjustment, reset SP 5902-3 to "NoPattern".
