Scanner Name
Scanner name
Set a scanner name.
Enter a scanner name within 64 characters.
The following characters can be used for a scanner name:
● Alphanumerical characters
● Space
The space before or after the character string is ignored.
● Symbols
-_
The factory default setting is [fi-8040-<ScannerSerialNumber>].
HINT
● The scanner serial number can be checked on the product label.
For the product label, refer to Checking the Product Label (page 250).
● When [Dynamic DNS] is enabled, enter a scanner name within 63 characters.
For details about Dynamic DNS, refer to Network (page 277).
It is also recommended that you do not use the following characters for the scanner name as
they are replaced with "-" when the name is registered in the DNS servers.
- Underscore "_"
- Space
● The scanner name can be checked in the screen that appears via the following procedure:
→ on the touch screen
Scanner Code
Set this item when the way for use of the scanner is [Use by connecting to PaperStream NX
Manager].
Scanner Code
Specify whether or not to issue a scanner code.
If the [PaperStream NX Manager] setting is enabled, a scanner code can be used when
scanning with a user application on a computer or mobile device.
Enable
The factory default setting is set to off.
When [Enable] is set to on, make sure you enter characters for [Code].
