What to do if my Ricoh Printer is producing horizontal banding with thin lines?
    • J
      Jesse FaulknerJul 26, 2025
Thin horizontal lines across the entire shirt when using your Ricoh Printer can arise from: * Missing nozzles. If the nozzle check reveals missing nozzles, perform head cleans until the CMYK nozzles are 100%. * Minor nozzle deflection. Check the table height, as deflection effects are amplified if the printing surface is too far from the head. Set the indicator to 0 or near 0 for most T-shirts to achieve a 1.5mm distance. * Perform head cleans until the deflection is reduced. * If nozzles are 100% with little to no deflection, perform the table alignment procedure.

Why is my Ricoh Ri 1000 creating horizontal banding with thick lines?
    • M
      madison13Jul 30, 2025
Thick horizontal lines appearing across the entire shirt with your Ricoh Printer may be due to: * If nozzles are 100% and banding appears in solid colors of dark or gray (bi-directional banding), uncheck the bi-directional box in the RIP. * If nozzles are 100% and banding appears in solid colors with inconsistent color in the scanning direction, print in Fine Quality mode for CMYK. If the issue persists, print in 1200 X 1200 dpi (Kothari RIP) or Superfine.

Why do my dark shirt prints look dull on my Ricoh Printer?
    • D
      douglas07Aug 2, 2025
If dark shirt prints look dull on your Ricoh Printer, it could be due to several reasons: * If white nozzles are near 100% and there is an inadequate amount of pretreat on the shirt, increase the amount of pretreat being sprayed. * If the white ink has settled, agitate the white ink cartridges for 2 minutes, then perform 3 to 4 strong head cleans to replace most of the settled ink. * If there are missing nozzles on one or both white heads, perform head cleans to recover the nozzles to 100% or near 100%.

What to do if several nozzles are out on my Ricoh Printer and head cleaning doesn't improve it?
    • A
      Ashley ClarkAug 8, 2025
If several nozzles are out on your Ricoh Printer and head cleans aren't helping, it could be because air was introduced to the head during an initial ink fill, or cleaning fluid/air was pushed into the head during cleaning. Let the printer sit overnight to allow the air to settle.

Why does my light shirt look too dull when printed with my Ricoh Ri 1000?
    • N
      Nicole JohnsonAug 16, 2025
If a light shirt looks too dull when printed with your Ricoh Printer and the nozzle is 100%, the wrong output profile might be selected. If printing in 600 x 600 DPI and using a profile meant for 1200 x 1200 DPI, the shirt will appear dull.

What to do if my Ricoh Printer cartridge reads 0% unexpectedly?
    • T
      Todd MichaelAug 20, 2025
If a cartridge on your Ricoh Printer reads 0% after showing a high percentage previously, it may be a temporary communication loss. Remove the cartridge, wait for the status to change to NC, and for the 'cartridges not loaded' message to appear. Reinsert the cartridge to see if the reading returns to normal. If it still reads 0%, turn the printer off and on again.

How to fix fuzzy blurry prints on Ricoh Printer?
    • W
      webbaliciaNov 11, 2025
Fuzzy, blurry prints from your Ricoh Printer can stem from several factors: * The table height might be too low. For most T-shirts, the indicator below the height adjustment knob should be set to 0 or near 0. Optimal printing occurs when the print head is 1.5mm from the printing surface. * Too much ink (oversaturation) can cause bleeding, especially on white or light shirts without pretreat. Check the settings in the RIP, particularly the rendering intent (perceptual is default). Ensure the ink set and profiles are correct. Profiles for 600 x 600 dpi will use too much ink if 1200 X 1200 dpi output is selected. * If the nozzle check shows deflection, perform head clean or cleans and recheck the nozzle. * For dark shirts with a white under base, poor pretreat can cause prints to app...
