8. Replacement Procedure of Type G2 White Ink
In case of KCMYW mode
In case of KCMY+W mode, please follow the procedure below to replace the ink with Type G2
White Ink.
STEP1. Replace the white ink to be changed with Type G2 White Ink (or
Type G2 White Ink (Hi Yield)).
Since head 2 is connected to the W1A cartridge and head 3 to the W2A cartridge,
they can be replaced one at a time and "strong" head cleaning can be performed.
However, since both Head 1 and Head 4 are connected to the W1B and W2B
cartridges, we recommend replacing them at the same time.
STEP2. Perform “Strong” head cleaning.
Perform a Strong cleaning on the head to which the cartridge replaced in Step 1 is
connected.
STEP3. Repeat STEP 2 (*Total of 5 Times Including STEP 2).
Perform “Strong” head cleaning a total of 5 times per head.
Reference: Operating time (Replacing all cartridges at the same time) 60 - 70 min.
Preparation: 10 - 20 min + Ink replacement (STEP2 - 3): 50 min
However, if frequent white ink non-discharge occurs after filling with Type G2 White Ink, please
clean the white ink path with a cleaning solution and then fill again with Type G2 White Ink. The
procedure for cleaning with the cleaning solution is as follows.
Remove white Ink cartridges.
Insert the cleaning cartridges designated for W1 and W2 channels.
