IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
ATTENTION:
Use the boiler only for heating or water heating. Improper use could result in product failure or fire.
Do not drink the water contained in the central heating pipes or collected in the neutralizer siphon.
Prior to use after installation or if the boiler has not been used for a long time let the hot water flow for a while
before using.
Do not use heating appliances close to the remote controller. Failure to read the right room temperature could
lead to malfunction of the boiler.
It is recommended the installation of a system to collect and drain water under the boiler in the case of water
leakage to prevent material and property damages.
Make sure that central heating system is provided of de-aeration valves
and air is properly removed when filling the pipes with water and during
normal use.
FROST PROTECTION
Make sure that the power cord of the boiler is plugged-in and the
electrical power is always available.
- the frost protection activates only when the boiler is electrically
powered and switched ON.
Keep the main gas valve, the heating system valves and the boiler valves
open even if the boiler is not used for some days.
All pipes must be wrapped with insulating materials to prevent heat loss.
The thickness of insulation should be between 25mm and 50mm
according to outdoor temperatures. Electrical hot wires could be installed
to protect pipework subjected to extreme cold or wind chill conditions. Hot
wire use is recommended for the water inlet pipe if the case of
temperature drops below -15°C.
If water pipes are frozen, there would not be water flow in the system. Use a heat source (e.g. hair dryer) to
unfreeze the frozen components and pipes. Before using the boiler after defrosting contact the Rinnai service
to verify possible damages.
