Determining Dimensions
The MP and MT Series are a modular system of cabinets that let you install cabinets in many different combinations. The
overall size of the cabinets is determined by the overall dimensions of the assembled cabinet units. Before cutting any
holes in the wall, determine the overall dime
nsions. See Figure A for an example (using an MT16D4FBNE cabinet) that
shows the overall dimensions and the rough opening dimensions.
Determining Width:
1. Determine the front width of the cabinet model(s):
CABINET WIDTHS:
MP16 and MT16 = 15 1/4” (387.4 mm) wide
MP20 and MT20 = 19 1/4” (489 mm) wide
MP24 and MT24 = 23 1/4” (590.6 mm) wide
2. If you are combining cabinets, add widths for each cabinet
to determine overall width.
3. Subtract ¾” (19.1 mm) from the total width to determine the
horizontal length of the rough opening.
Determining Height:
1. Determine the front height of the cabinet model(s):
CABINET HEIGHTS:
MT Flat Top = 30” (762 mm) high
MT Arch Top = 34” (863.6 mm) high (rough opening same as Flat Top)
MP Flat Top = 39 3/8” (1000.1 mm) high
MP Arch Top = 43 3/8” (1101.7 mm) high (rough opening same as Flat Top)
2. Subtract ¾” (19.1 mm) from the height to determine the vertical
height of the rough opening.
When selecting the cabinet location, note the following:
There must be at least a 1” (25.4 mm) clearance between the
top of the faucet spout and the bottom of the cabinet door and
at least 1” clearance from the top of the cabinet door to the
ceiling (see Figure B).
Power for the Electrical option should be provided separately
from the optional cabinet lights so that when lights are turned
off, Electrical option in the cabinet remains on.
If recess mounting cabinets, determine
recess depth of rough opening. The recess
depth varies according to the cabinet model:
D4 model = 3 ¾” (95.3 mm) deep
D6 model = 5 ¾” (146 mm) deep
D8 model = 7 ¾” (196.9 mm) deep
Be sure that there is enough clearance for
the door above the rough opening
(see Figure B).
