The Robic SC-606W is a world-class digital timer and stopwatch with a vast array of advanced timekeeping functions. This device offers multiple modes including Normal Time, Chronograph (Stopwatch), and Countdown Timer, each with various sub-functions and display options.
The SC-606W operates through a series of pushbuttons and indicators clearly detailed in the manual. The pushbuttons are labeled "A" (START/STOP, Alarm/Chime On/Off), "B" (LAP/SPLIT/RESET, Alarm Time Display), "C" (ADVANCE/RELEASE, MODE/NEXT), and "D" (AVG/MAXIMUM, MEMORY RECALL/SET). Indicators on the display provide visual cues for various activated modes and functions, such as UP, DOWN, AVG, MAX, SET, CHRONO, LAP/SPL, RUN, STOP, RCL, and symbols for alarm and chime.
In Normal Time mode, the device displays the Time of Day (hours, minutes, seconds) and Calendar (day, month, date). Users can choose between AM/PM or 24-hour time formats. It also features a Daily Alarm and Hourly Chime. The Alarm can be armed to sound once per day, indicated by a specific symbol. The Hourly Chime can be armed to sound one beep at the top of each hour, indicated by a triangle symbol.
To set Normal Time and Alarm Time, users press and hold "D" for 2-3 seconds until "SET" appears and alarm hours flash. "B" advances hours, and "C" moves to minutes. This process is repeated for seconds, month, date, day of the week, and 12/24-hour option. Pressing "D" at any time exits the setting procedure.
The Chronograph mode offers three timing options:
All Chronograph options provide 1/100 second resolution up to 24 hours. The device can store up to 50 time readings in memory and automatically count laps/splits up to 999 readings. Memory recall can be presented in either ascending (1,2,3...) or descending (3,2,1) order. It also displays Fastest and Average Lap Times.
To enter Chronograph mode, press "C" once from Normal Time. "CHR" and all zeros should appear. If not, reset by pressing "A" to stop (if running) and "B" to reset. Users select LAP, SPLIT, or LAP/SPLIT options by pressing "D".
In LAP/SPLIT mode, the device automatically releases the frozen display to current running times after 15 seconds. If no pushbutton is pressed for 15 seconds, the SC-606W returns to the last previous time value if MEMORY RECALL and AVG/MAX functions are activated. The chronograph ceases operation after 24 hours or 999 laps.
The Countdown Timer (CDT) offers three modes:
Users can preset times from 1 second up to 24 hours, with time remaining displayed in 1/10 second resolution. To enter CDT mode, press "C" twice from Normal Time. If "RUN" appears, press "A" to stop and "B" to reset. "B" selects the countdown mode (CdS, Cdr, or CdC). To set the timer, press and hold "D" for 2-3 seconds. "SET" appears, and hour digits flash. "B" advances hours, "C" moves to tens of minutes, and so on for minutes and seconds. Pressing "D" exits the setting procedure.
To operate, press "A" to start. "RUN" appears. "A" can stop and restart the CDT. "B" resets to the original preset time. Upon completion, a beep tone sounds for 20 seconds (if preset time > 1 minute) or four beeps (if preset time < 1 minute). In CdC mode, the time counting up is displayed in 1/10 second resolution. "A" stops the count-up, and "B" resets to zeros.
The Robic SC-606W is designed for durability and precision, offering comprehensive timing solutions for various applications.
