Note:
The procedure for checking the measuring system is identical
to the procedure for practising how to perform a measure-
ment. You can therefore practise performing a measurement
by following the steps described below for checking the
measuring system.
Procedure for the performance check
Carefully read the pack inserts accompanying the test
strips and control solution.
Switch on Accutrend
®
GC.
The meter first checks the electronics for about 2 sec-
onds (as mentioned under 2.2) and then the word
GLUC or CHOL appears in the display. These different
blood components are also called “parameters”. The
corresponding code number, the time and the date
appear below the parameter name. The word CODE
flashes. Accutrend
®
GC is now ready to measure the
coded parameters.
Take a glucose test strip, for example, out of the test
strip container. Close the container again immediately.
