Overview
CMS (Conversational Monitor System) is an interactive operating
system that runs within z/VM. The z/VM system control program
provides each user with a virtual machine (that is, an operating
environment that appears to be a separate system).
This chapter describes the procedures to be followed when connecting
to Model 204 through the CMS terminal interface.
Terminals supported
The CMS terminal interface supports the use of:
• IBM 3270 and compatible terminals
• Teletypes and Teletype-compatible terminals
Each of these terminal types provides slightly different capabilities,
