5.1.2 Default Admin Password Is Still Used
For device and network security, you are advised to configure the admin password for the network to prevent
login of unauthorized users.
Click the prompt to configure the admin password for the network. Hover the cursor over the orange number (1
in the figure) of the prompt to configure the device password. For configuration steps, refer to Default Device
Name Is Not Modified.
Caution
The admin password is used to log in to the web page of any device in the network. Therefore, remember
the admin password. If you forget the admin password, restore factory settings. For the method, see
Logging in to the Web Page.
If there is an unbridged device in the network, the function of configuring the admin password will be
disabled.
