Why Ryobi AJP-2900 Pressure Washer pump doesn’t produce pressure?

  There are several reasons why the pump isn't producing pressure. It could be due to a low-pressure nozzle being installed (replace with a high-pressure nozzle), an inadequate water supply (provide adequate water flow), leaks in the trigger gun or spray lance (check connections or replace the components), a clogged nozzle (clean the nozzle), air in the line (squeeze the trigger to remove air), a leaking hose (replace the hose), a kink in the hose (eliminate kinks), or the choke being in the START position (move the choke to the RUN position).

  If the engine fails to start, it could be due to several reasons. First, check if there is fuel in the tank and fill it if needed. A shorted or fouled spark plug can also prevent the engine from starting, so replace the spark plug. Similarly, replace a broken spark plug (cracked porcelain or broken electrodes). Ensure the ignition lead wire is properly connected to the spark plug; replace it or attach it if necessary.

Why my Ryobi Pressure Washer machine doesn’t reach high pressure?

  The machine may not reach high pressure if the diameter of the garden hose is too small (replace with a 3/4 in. garden hose), the water supply is restricted (check the garden hose for kinks, leaks, and blockages), there is not enough inlet water (open the water source fully), or the wrong nozzle is attached (attach the high-pressure nozzle).

  If the detergent fails to mix with the spray, make sure you are using the blue soap nozzle to apply detergent instead of a high-pressure nozzle. Also, check if the soap tank is empty and add detergent if needed.
