Overview

The JL-168 Weighing Indicator is an electronic scale designed for various weighing applications, offering a range of functions and features for accurate and efficient operation.

Function Description

The JL-168 serves as a comprehensive weighing indicator with capabilities for:

  • Basic Weighing: Provides accurate weight measurements in kilograms (kg), grams (g), pounds (lb), and ounces (oz).
  • Cumulation: Allows for the accumulation of multiple weight measurements. Users can add objects to the scale, record their weight, remove them, and then add more objects for continued cumulation.
  • Upper and Lower Limit Setting: Enables the setting of upper and lower weight limits. The scale can be configured to trigger an alarm if the weighing data falls outside these defined limits. This feature supports various alarm modes, including:
    • Alarm when data is greater than the upper limit (lower limit is 0).
    • Alarm when data is less than the lower limit (upper limit is 0).
    • Alarm when data is less than the lower limit or greater than the upper limit (both limits are non-zero and lower limit < upper limit).
    • Alarm when data is greater than the lower limit or less than the upper limit (both limits are non-zero and lower limit > upper limit).
  • Counting Operation: Facilitates counting of items by allowing users to input a sample quantity and then count a larger batch of the same items.
  • Pre-peeling (Tare) Operation: Allows users to subtract the weight of a container or package, displaying only the net weight of the item being measured.
  • Zero Function: Resets the scale to zero when no object is on the scale plate, provided the current reading is within 10% of the maximum capacity.
  • Date/Time Setting: Enables users to set and adjust the current date and time on the device.
  • Print Item Name Switch: Allows for changing the item name displayed for printing purposes.
  • Saving Power Model: Automatically enters a power-saving mode after 3 minutes of inactivity, displaying "--" until any button (except the start button) is pressed to wake it up.
  • Function Parameter Setting: Provides access to various adjustable parameters for customizing scale behavior, including:
    • Zero Point Tracking Setting (P01): Configures how the scale tracks and maintains its zero point (e.g., 0d, 1d).
    • Filter Setup (P02): Adjusts the filtering level for data stability (higher numbers mean more stable data).
    • Anti-vibration Coefficient Setting (P03): Configures the scale's resistance to vibration (higher values mean more stable data).
    • Boot Unit Setup (P04): Sets the default weighing unit upon startup (kg, g, lb, oz).
    • Tri-color Lamp Alarm Mode Selection (P05): Configures the behavior of a tri-color lamp for alarms, including options for no alarm, lower limit, upper limit, interval, and outerval alarms, with adjustable warning thresholds (e.g., 0d, 5d, 10d, 15d, 20d, 25d, 30d, 35d, 40d, 45d warnings).
    • Inside or Outside Alarm Setting (P05 01): Determines whether the internal or external buzzer is used for unstable or stable data alarms.
    • Quantity/Weight Alarm Setting (P05 02): Specifies whether the alarm is based on weight or quantity.
    • Voice Volume Setting (P05 03): Adjusts the volume of voice prompts (Small, Big).
    • Serial Port/Printer Parameter Setting (P06): Configures serial communication and printer settings, including:
      • Serial communication switch (On/Off).
      • Baud rate setting (1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200).
      • Serial communication transmission mode (continuous, stable mode 1, stable mode 2, keystroke sending).
      • Serial communication data format (SKR, CODY, XiangPing, EXCEL, Yaohua A7, Yaohua A1+, Yaohua A27, Jadever weighting).
      • Communication protocol (Old, New).
      • Printer (On/Off).
      • Printer Style (Ticket printer, Label printer).
      • Internal format.
      • Print Model (Manual, Cumulative, Automatic, Qualified printing).
      • Print format (Edit by yourself, Internal format).
      • Serial number (Not memorized, Memorized).
      • Negative print setting (No print, Print).
      • AP, PC settings.
    • Animal Weighing Function (P07): Provides specialized modes for weighing animals, including stable state locking, top model locking, and options for accumulation and automatic printing.
    • Weight Lock Time Setting (P07 02): Configures the duration for which weight is locked (0s to 9s, with 05s recommended).
    • Cumulative Set (P08): Enables weight or quantity cumulative functions.
    • Backlight Setting (P09): Controls backlight behavior (automatic, always bright/high brightness, always off).
    • Automatic Average Function Setting (P10): Toggles the automatic averaging function (On/Off).
    • Weight Memory Function Setting (P11): Toggles the weight memory function (On/Off).
    • Display Change (P12): Selects the display mode (Weighing LCD, Weighing LED, Counting LCD).
    • Single Memory Function Setting (P13): Toggles the single memory function (On/Off).
    • Display the Code Value (P14).
    • High Precision (P15): Toggles high precision mode (On/Off).
    • Counting Speed (P16): Adjusts counting speed and accuracy (quickly/low accuracy, slowly/high accuracy).
  • Capacity Setting and Internal Calibration: Allows for the configuration of maximum capacity, division (scale interval), and decimal point settings. It supports both one-point and three-point correction methods for internal calibration.
