2 Check the valve's power supply
- Start the engine and run it at idling speed.
- Connect the test lamp to pin 6 of the female
connector and battery negative
{B- ).
Is the test lamp on?
_ I YES I Continue with point 3.

I NO I Repair or replace the lead between pin 6 and
· crimped connection J37 and continue with
point 4.

3 Check the valvers ground connection
- Check the lead between pin 5 of the female con-
nector and pins 21 and 27 of the control module.
Is the wiring OK? '-,/
I YES I Change the EVAP canister purge valve and
continue with point 4.
I NO I Rectify the fault and procE!ed to point 4.
