Control module, internal fault
Symptom of fault
The CHECK ENGINE lamp (MIL) is on. Undefinable
(different functions may be affected, depending on
the internal memory fault and/or program fault).
Conditions
When the ignition is switched on the control module's
program does not coincide with that programmed by
the supplier.

Diagnostic procedure
1 Check the control module
- If the diagnostic trouble
code
is generated, re-
move the control module and check its connec-
tor. Pay particular attention to possible socket
slide-out.
- Check the control module's ground connection
and power supply. See diagnostic trouble code
P1500.
