POSSIBLE CAUSES
Too much charge at high
temperature or too much
current
Damaged cell case.
Leakage of electrolyte.
CORRECTION
Disassemble and clean
the battery (DISAS-
SEMBLY and CLEANING).
Do an electrolyte
level check (CHECK).
Examine the aircraft
circuit which charges
the battery.
If necessary, adjust
to normal operating
temperature (DESCRI-
PTION AND OPERATION).
Disassemble and clean
the battery (DISAS-
SEMBLY and CLEANING).
Do an electrolyte
level check (CHECK).
Do a leak test of the
cells (CHECK).
Replace the cell if
necessary and refer
to the related subse-
quent steps.
Disassemble and clean
