Ignition Switch
Ignition switch positions
Lock position
In this position, the steering
wheel is locked to protect the
car from stealing.
The ignition key can be only
removed in the lock position.
ACC Position
By turning the ignition switch in
the ACC position, the steering
wheel is unlocked and some
electrical equipment such as
radio can be used when the
engine is off.
ON Position
By putting the ignition switch in
ON position you can turn on the
warning lights before starting the
engine. After turning the ignition
switch in the start position, it will
return in ON position and stay
xed in that position.
Do not keep the ignition switch
in ON position for a long time
when the engine is off. This will
discharge the battery.
Start position
In the start position the engine
will be started and by releasing
the switch, it will return in ON
position.
If the ignition key is not turning in
the lock cylinder, it is due to the
force on the steering wheel. In
this case, to release the steering
wheel, turn it slightly to the left or
right and then turn the key.
To set the switch in the lock
position, push in the ignition key
in ACC position while turning the
key toward the lock position.
