Check that connections are plumbed the correct way round
and all valves are open
Insufficient gravity flow Check that installation complies with Salamander instructions
Check suitability of pump – is installation in negative head
(see page 9)
Check inlet filters are not blocked
Check flow rate min of 2l/min required on both hot and cold
Float sticking in outlet Ensure no debris is in outlet area
Flow switch malfunction Contact PumpWise on 0191 5162002
Pump will not

LED warning light lit See below conditions
LED 1 lit (pump hunting) Check all outlets are fully closed and there are no leaks on outlet
pipe work
If fitted to toilets ensure ball valve in cistern is not passing water
Ensure equilibrium ball valve fitted
Once issue is identified and resolved, switch mains supply off
and on again to reset the pump
LED 2 lit (aeration –
starvation of water)
Check cold water storage is correct for installation and pump is
fitted to Salamander instructions
Flange fitted
Check pump filters are clear of debris
Once issue is identified and resolved, switch mains supply off
and on again to reset the pump
LED 3 lit (temperature) Is effective temp control fitted (cylinder stat or HWS/TMV valve)?
Is the temperature set to 60ºC maximum ?
Pump will restart when temparature cools to within limits
All 3 LEDs flashing Possible power irregularity, contact PumpWise on 0191 516
