Operating Recommendations (Temperature and Humidity Ranges):
- Cooling Mode:
- Outdoor Temperature: 70°F to 109°F (21°C to 43°C) approx.
- Indoor Temperature: 65°F to 90°F (18°C to 32°C) approx.
- Indoor Humidity: 80% or less.
- Drying Mode:
- Outdoor Temperature: 65°F to 109°F (18°C to 43°C) approx.
- Indoor Temperature: 65°F to 90°F (18°C to 32°C) approx.
- If cooling operation is used at over 92°F/33°C (indoor temperature), it does not cool at its full capacity.
- High temperatures may trigger automatic protection and stop the air conditioner.
- Low temperatures may cause water leaks or other malfunctions if the heat exchanger freezes.
- High humidity levels may cause condensation and dripping from the indoor unit if used for long periods.
Usage Features:
- 5 Way Function: Allows selection of operating modes (Normal, Nature, Power, Saving, Silence) for comfortable circumstances, usable via remote control or indoor unit buttons.
- Normal operating (STANDARD): Standard cooling.
- Reducing uncomfortable temperature gradually (NATURE): Adjusts temperature for gradual comfort.
- High fan speed (POWER): Maximizes fan speed for quick cooling.
- Compressor run time reduced (SAVING): Optimizes compressor operation for energy saving.
- Fan speed reduces as temperature decreases (SILENCE): Lowers fan speed for quieter operation.
- Automatic Operating Mode: Automatically selects standard temperature and optimum fan speed. Temperature can be adjusted, but not fan speed. The unit has a 3-minute protection mechanism upon startup after being plugged in or stopped.
- Cooling Your Room: Allows adjustment of cooling temperature (65°F to 86°F / 18°C to 30°C) and fan speed (Automatic, Low, Medium, High).
- Changing the Room Temperature Quickly (Turbo Cooling): Operates at maximum settings for 30 minutes to rapidly cool the room, then automatically returns to previously selected mode and temperature. If activated in DRY or FAN mode, it changes to AUTO mode.
- Removing Excess Humidity (Dry Mode): Removes humidity without significantly lowering room temperature. Temperature can be adjusted (65°F to 86°F / 18°C to 30°C). Fan speed is adjusted automatically.
- Airing Your Room (Fan Mode): Circulates air without cooling. Fan speed can be selected (Low, Medium, High).
- Adjusting Air Flow Direction:
- Vertically: Outer air flow blade can be adjusted manually or set to swing automatically.
- Horizontally: Inner air flow blades can be adjusted manually by pushing or pulling them sideways.
- Setting the On Timer: Automatically switches on the air conditioner after a set period (30 minutes to 24 hours). Allows pre-selection of operating mode.
- Setting the Off Timer: Automatically switches off the air conditioner after a set period (30 minutes to 24 hours).
- Setting the Sleep Timer: Automatically switches off the air conditioner after six hours when cooling. Increases desired temperature by 2°F every hour for two hours, then maintains it for four hours.
- Power Failure Recommendation: Some models (e.g., A1, A5, A9, AA) require manual restart after a power failure, while others (e.g., A0, A2, A6, AB) restart automatically.
Maintenance Features:
- Cleaning Your Air Conditioner: Regular cleaning of the air filter is essential to remove accumulated dust.
- Procedure: Open the front grille, disassemble it (for 07/09/12 models), remove air filters (different methods for 07/09/12 and 18/24 models), clean dust with a vacuum cleaner or brush. Clean the front panel with a damp cloth and mild detergent (avoid benzene, solvents, or other chemicals). Reassemble filters and grille.
- Frequency: Clean the air filter twice a month, or more often if the room has heavy dust.
- Long Periods of Disuse: If the air conditioner has not been used for a long time, run the fan for three to four hours to dry the inside of the unit thoroughly.
- Installing a Filter (Option): The air conditioner can be fitted with a deodorizing and Bio-Pure filter to remove minute dust particles or odors.
- Service Life: Approximately three months.
- Installation: Remove vinyl packing (only when ready to use to preserve properties), insert filter into holder, and press tabs until it clicks. Replace existing filter with the new one.
