Mail/Web browser
You can use the email services provided by Google or by major
Internet service providers (ISPs).
• You must sign in Google account to use Gmail (P.31). When a setting
screen of email address appears, perform the settings according to
onscreen instructions and then operate it.
• For details on Gmail, from the Gmail screen, tap
→ "Help & feedback"
to refer.
From the Home screen, "Google" → "Gmail"
• If the screen describing new Gmail functions appears, follow the
instructions on the screen.
Tap an email you want to read
• Content of the selected email appears.
From the Home screen, "Google" → "Gmail"
• The Email creation screen appears.

Area Mail is a service which the emergency earthquake ash
reports and tsunami warnings and special alarm concerning
weather, etc. distributed by the Meteorological Agency and the
disaster and evacuation information distributed by national and local
governments can be received without it being aected by telephone
line congestion.
• You can receive Area Mails for free without subscriptions.
• Area Mail cannot be received in the following case.
- When the power is o
- During International roaming
- During Airplane mode
- When software is being updated
- When the PIN code input screen is displayed
- During a voice call (except for VoLTE voice calls)
When you receive an Area Mail, the details notication screen is displayed
and you are alerted by a special buzzer or ringtone and vibration.
• A special buzzer and ringtone cannot be changed.
Receive Area Mails automatically
When an Area Mail is received, a special buzzer or the
ringtone sounds and the icon is displayed then the contents
of Area Mail is displayed
From the Home screen, → "Disaster kit"
"Early Warning "Area Mail" → "Area Mail" → Select the Area
Mail from the list of Area Mail
