International roaming
Check the following for using terminal overseas before leaving Japan.
■ Subscription
• Check the subscription of WORLD WING. For details, contact "docomo
Information Center" on the last page of this manual.
• If you use the ahamo plan, you do not need to apply for WORLD WING
and cannot abolish it.
■ Charging
• For details on charging, refer to NTT DOCOMO website.
■ Usage fee
• Overseas usage charge (call and packet communication) diers from
those in Japan. For details, see NTT DOCOMO website. Please be
sure to check the ahamo website when using with the ahamo plan.
• As some apps automatically perform packet communications, the
packet communication charge may become expensive. For each
application, conrm with your application provider by yourselves.
■ Network service
If you subscribed to network services, Voice mail service, Call forwarding
service and Caller ID request service, etc. are available from overseas.
However, some network services may not be used.
• To use network services overseas, you need to activate "Remote
operation settings". Alternatively, you can set "Remote operation
settings" overseas. Setting in Japan (P.65), Setting overseas
(P.131).
• Depending on overseas network operators to connect, network
services may not be used even if it can be activate/deactivate.
When you arrive overseas and turn on the terminal, an available network
operators/network is automatically connected.
■ Connection
The optimum network will be selected automatically if "Select
automatically" of "Network operators" is set to ON.
■ Setting data roaming
To perform packet communications overseas, the data roaming setting
must be turned ON.
From the Home screen, → "Settings" → "Connections" →
"Mobile networks"
"Data roaming" → Conrm notes screen and tap "OK"
■ Setting a network operator
By default, the terminal automatically searches available network and
connect to it. To switch network manually, set as follows.
From the Home screen, → "Settings" → "Connections"
→ "Mobile networks" → "Network operators" → "Select
automatically"
• Available networks are displayed.
• When an conrmation screen appears, tap "OK".
• If the error occurs in network search, turn "Mobile data" OFF and retry
(P.98).

• If you set "Select automatically" to ON in Step 1, you can restore the
network setting to detect and switch the network that can be used
automatically.
■ Setting network mode
From the Home screen, → "Settings" → "Connections" →
"Mobile networks" → "Network mode"
"5G/4G/3G/GSM (auto connect)"/"4G/3G/GSM (auto
connect)"/"3G/GSM (auto connect)"/"GSM only"
